No...if anything, I thank you. It wasn't wierd at all. It was very nice, and it made me realize this stuff, which is something I needed to realize.

Hey I'm in the same situtation! My parents aren't religious and now I am kind of seeking religion on my own. I don't even know what religion I am.. or which one I should be. And its embarrassing when I have to go to church with somebody and I don't know what to do. So thats partially the reason I choose to go to a religious school; so it can guide me to find whats right. and you'll find a religion that fits you. And you can connect with God in so many ways without having to go to church. Having an appreciation for your life and other around you and being thankful, etc. People finds peace with God at different times. LoL I hope that all made sense! I'll get off my soapbox now!

Now Scott, not going to church isn't bad or anything. Not at all. Mass was created for people to get together and worship- if they wanted to. If one goes to church and does not want to be there, than church holds no benefits for him.
(personally, I believe mass became more of a money making thing in most places)
And hell, if you believe then your OK. It just sounds like you need to do some research into the Luthern Religion. *pats back* Gods not sending you to hell for a little ignorance, otherwise all the little children would be burning.

I offer this to everyone who reads this, and to anyone you feel like telling about it. I was lost and confused up until a year ago. I began going to youth group every wensday night at Brookfield Lutheran Church. I get soooo much out of this group it is wonderful. Me being confirmed a Catholic i still had many questions and BLC's youth group helps to answer them and keep my faith alive. I strongly encourage everyone to check it out!

Peace
~Joe

Lent may or maynot be just a Catholic thing, not quite sure. I believe that anyone may participate in it though. It's something that you do to show God that you love Him. Catholics don't eat meat on Fridays not because God demands a sacrafice, but because we want to give Him a sacrifice anyways. Lent is just a big, old love fest for God.
