Whitney Houston is dead. She's been my favorite singer for most of my life, and I never stopped hoping that she would get better, find a way out of that mire. I usually think it's a bit ridiculous to be so invested emotionally in celebrities, but I am crying now and not ashamed to admit it. She just sang with so much joy and love and sincerity. She

All of my hugs. I didn't follow her closely, but, like most people I imagine, she was always a part of life -- ingrained in society. Whenever I did hear her music I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of her voice. I'm incredibly sorry for your loss.
