Once again, things had grown quiet. And quiet made people around here nervous. Therefore, to alleviate some of said tension, a door hissed open in Blue Base and a slender figure emerged.

"Hey, where's everyone at?" Allison wondered as she wandered to the kitchen indulge her favorite outdoor activity of snacking.

Just grabbing a drink, Simmons idly walked into the kitchen. Just keeping the energy levels up as usual.
"Hell if I know..." he started, trailing off slightly as he realised that making small talk with Tex might not ever be the best idea. Uh-oh. Let's just get this and get out of here.

Tex's reflexes kicked in and she whipped around, resisting the urge to pull a weapon.

"Who the...? Oh, it's you." She relaxed and opened the fridge, rummaging about for food,

"Yeah, just me," he remarked, beginning his own search at the opposite edge of the kitchen. Didn't want to bother her too much. "That's all."

She quirked an eyebrow.

"Doing the dishes or something? You seem a little...off."

"Was there any hint of a request in my voice?" Tex quirked an eyebrow, grinning ferally at him, just to see his reaction.

"Well, no, but request or not, it's not exactly my place to sort it out, is it?" he pleaded. Serve him right for starting to relax around her, some little part of him remarked inside.

"No, I guess it isn't. But damned if I know who should..." She tapped her chin, content to let him relax again after that small ruse.

"Well, if anyone's gonna break the ceasefire, I'd figure it would be Cap or Sarge..." he said, settling slightly but not all the way yet. "Then again, Sarge isn't even in the canyon - from what I've heard - and Cap probably wouldn't care." He wasn't entirely sure Sarge would either. Bit of a change.
