i found out what it was - Dave K and I being the silly corner-jazz men at his lady-friend's party. I'm going to go off and be part of the horn section in a motown covers band (money for tunes, anyone?) earlier in the night, and then go to this party and play more (booze for tunes, anyone?) but before all of that there could well be time for some pleasant festive kitchennery.
