While my "to read" pile grows faster than my "finished reading" pile, I have gotten to read some good books recently. I'm going to stick to stuff I've enjoyed, because nobody needs to hear me complain about stuff I didn't

I just ran across a reference to this post titled, "How David Weber orders a pizza", and it is, well, a very good explanation of how one ends up with the multiple chapters of stuff I mention above.

I still enjoy Weber's books, but, man, I do wish his editor would rein him in a bit more sometimes... (of course, considering the number of typos I regularly find in his books, I'm not sure his books ever go through an editor...)
