here Kou glances around as he followed Hansel. "I'm planning on getting into a field for AI development once I'm out of college."
"Really? That sounds interesting." Oh, hey, back alleys. Totally the safest place to follow someone.
Kou glanced around nervously. "Yeah, you'd be surprise at what's going on in the labs... man, do we gotta go through here?"
"Can you tell me anything?" He didn't address the question, trying to divert his attention.
Kou nodded and spoke of an article about an AI that was being used as a bartender that could automatically add new drinks to it's database and remember who ordered what.
"Interesting... I wonder if it can make a Bloody Mary...?"
"It's probably one of the first drinks on the list."
"True." Oh, hey, look, they were in a nice dead end... this isn't familiar at all.
"Uh... what, what's going on?" Kou started as he got a sinking feeling in his stomach.
Hansel looked down. "I'm sorry... but it can't be a coincidence that we ran into each other again. And I can't take the risk that you might tell someone about me."
"What are you talking about?" The young man started to step back.
"I'm sorry..." The steps meant nothing to the vampire, who quickly covered the gap between them, pinning Kou to a wall.
The young man struggled and tried to kick him off. "Let go of me!"
"Please... Don't make this harder..." He wasn't consciously using his Suggestion, but a bit of it leaked out.
Kou stopped begging and struggling, reduced to a quiet whimper
There was honest sadness and pity in Hansel's eyes, as he leaned into the other man's neck, taking in the sweet blood. Now that his mind wasn't fogged, he knew what the sweetness meant, and he had to fight from letting the addicting flavor take him over.
Kou trembled at the close contact, realizing it spelt doom.
The fledgling didn't even notice the trembling, as he trained Kou of his life force. It was taking all of his control to keep that same control.
Kou started to go limp as the life was drained out of him, letting out one last whimper
"I'm sorry," Hansel whispered, gently lowering him to the ground as he finished off the last of his blood.
A few minutes later, Dracula appeared
The boy looked at his Sire, his eyes glowing, clearly struggling to keep his mind and not give into the voice that clamored for more innocent blood.
