here Time passes and there is a slight whiff of blood in the air as the vampire returns
Hansel opened his eyes, slightly more sober, and looking up at Dracula.
"Awake now Child?"
Hansel nodded, his head still feeling horrible.
"Feeling hungover?" Dracula asked rhetorically, chuckling darkly.
The boy nodded, not appreciating the joke.
The vampire held his hand out in an offer of support for Hansel.
He took it, grateful for the help.
"How do you feel besides having a painful headache?" The vampire questioned as he sent out a magic 'feeler' to see what else had gather in the city
"Alright." His stomach didn't want to try for more food.
"Well, we may return tomorrow - there is something I wish to look into."
"Hmm?" Hansel didn't want to disappoint his Sire by causing him to delay his plans.
"It would be too late to investigate, but I am sensing quite a few magic practitioners gathering in the city."
"Magic? Like the other one?" He worried idly that being hungover would affect his tentative control over the single spell he had.
"Yes, like that." Dracula explained calmly.
His eyes darkened. "They should be stopped."
"They should, but they can wait for tomorrow night." The vampire explain
Hansel nodded. He was somewhat glad that they wouldn't be going after them tonight.
"Shall we be off then?"
"Yes." His head wasn't liking all this nodding, anyway.
The vampire started to lead Hansel back to the castle as he mentally took notes of where he felt the magic and what type it was
Hansel didn't pay attention to much, other than putting one foot in front of the other, and following his Sire. He was never getting drunk again.
He knew that was what the fledgling was thinking, the first encounter with a wino has never been a pleasant one for any vampire. "Steady now. The effects will pass soon, but I think you would not wish to plant your face into the sidewalk"
'Steady' wasn't exactly something the boy could do anything about right now.
Dracula put his hand on Hansel's back for the support.
He leaned into the hand subconsciously, his body still rejoicing in the touch of the one who made him.
The trip out of the city was quick, Dracula had learned the intricacies of the city's layout in a short time, but on the outskirts he slows, cautious
Hansel noticed they were slowing, and tried to glance about to see what was wrong.
The Vampire eyes the darkness, and murmured softly. "Just fools, no real threat to us." He spoke with some disgust.
The boy probably could've seen what his Sire did, but he couldn't focus enough.
