The Vampire got Hansel on his back with ease.

"Sorry," the boy repeated, his head aching.

"It is fine, just hold on."

He nodded, holding tight to Dracula's back.

The Vampire sprang up onto escape ladders and went across the rooftops

Omi closed his eyes. He didn't trust his stomach to stay under control if he left them open.

The Vampire would be annoyed if Hansel had lost control, and it wasn't long until they were out of the city and into the less nauseating country air.

The fresher air did much to calm the boy down.

It wasn't long until the castle, which did raise the question of how nobody has found the place.

Omi looked up. He could see the castle, and at the same time, couldn't see it clearly. "Magic?" he asked.

"Partially, some people refuse to believe they see anything out of the ordinary."

"What about others?"

"Dismissed as madmen and find that they suddenly dislike the idea of dwelling on it for too long."

He nodded. He wasn't wanting to think on it too deeply.

The halls were silent as the Vampire carried his fledgling inside. "You will feel better once you rest."

It was eerie to Omi, that it was so silent. "Why's it so quiet?"

"A friend of mine had no doubt arrived. His presence is always one of silence."

"A friend?"

"You may meet him soon enough."

Omi wasn't in the mood to be curious, so he let it drop.

And down they went, more familiar sounds stirred in the distance as they go away from the source of quiet. "Fortunately we do not suffer hangovers."

He could probably feel the head nodding into his back.

Dracula kneeled down. "We're here."

Omi climbed down, slightly unsteady as he got his bearings again.

The vampire only stood up once the young vampire is off.

"Sorry." It was starting to become a broken record, but he felt horrible, both for getting drunk and for being drunk.
