The vampire turned one of the thin, delicate pages. "You should think on that tonight. It is difficult, but you must dislodge your stubborn beliefs that there is only one rule to the universe, and only one method"

"It's not stubborn," Omi muttered, though he didn't really believe it at this point.

"You seem listless tonight." Dracula commented after another period of silence.

Omi wasn't expecting that. "H-huh? No I'm not." Yes, yes he was. He didn't know why, though.

"Perhaps it is simply from sitting for hours, or perhaps it is the tides. You do not have to stay if you feel the need to roam."

If Omi left, the book behind him would be discovered. Then again, he was uncomfortable in this position, too.

The vampire knew something was up, but did not say anything, letting him decide on the matter.

"I-I... I don't know..." he finally said.

"You don't know?" Dracula looked up, setting the book down.

"I don't know why I feel like this. Or what I want." This was true, actually.

The vampire slowly nodded. "Feeling conflicted still?"

Omi nodded. "I... everything just confuses me."

"It takes time to sort things out."

"I guess I have plenty of that, now..."

The book hovers in place and flies back to where it belongs as he gets up, approaching Omi in a father-like fashion.

Omi shrank down nervously. He didn't have many memories of his childhood, but he remembered being uncomfortable with the man who had raised him.

Dracula ruffled his hair. "Don't feel pressured."

Omi would've turned bright red, if he were able. As it were, he shuffled enough so that the book was clearly visible behind his back.

The vampire turned, and started to exit - concealing a knowing grin. So he wishes to hide? Let him, it will come out eventually.

Omi waited until his Sire left, not realizing that his book had been seen. "What... was that?" Omi'd never known a loving family, so he didn't even know how he was supposed to act in situations like that.

"Do take care, we are starting our magic lessons tomorrow, Hansel."

"Aaa, yeah..."

With that he is gone, leaving him alone.
