I have this idea floating around that I'd like to really chronicle the story of our kid's birth, and I had originally thought maybe writing it out by hand in a journal would be the way to go so that the little fella (or gal) would have a tangible item, but damn, that would take forever and my handwriting is shit ( Read more... )

That's what I've heard! Plus I remember loving to ask my mom to tell me about when I was born, and I want to be able to remember as much as possible when my own ask me!

I agree that you should definitely do some kind of journal thing, even if you just print it out. You could handwrite special parts and you are artsy and crafty enough to make something really cool.

My mom kept a journal the first few days after I was born, then I guess she got tired. lol

Good point! My mom gave me a memory book for my wedding gift, and I just loved it, especially the parts where she had to admit her faults. I'm sick.
