Today I was so angry (I have a student who thinks my grading policies are unfair to her specifically and takes every opportunity to tell me) that I ate half a bar of semi-sweet baking chocolate that I bought because I am making my husband a Boston cream pie for his birthday. Food in a basket
Our department open house was tonight, and we always have a silent auction, so tonight I came home with an obscenely large basket (like, the size you use when you pick apples) full of gourmet foods like feta stuffed peppers and tropical salsa and whatnot. I'm currently sitting at The Husband's work, listening to him tutor a student and trying not to be furious that he's actually, y'kmow, doing his job, rather than comforting his bundle-of-nerves wife who has mere hours to go until she finds out if she's actually pregnant ( Read more... ) -

The Husband has to give me progesterone shots in the butt every morning (literally a pain in my ass), and the last couple of times, when trying to recap the needle, he's poked himself.
After this last time, he sighed. "Great, now I'm probably gonna grow boobs or something." -

The bad thing about doing IVF is that the hormones they put you on give you all of the symptoms of pregnancy, whether or not you actually are. My boobs are huge and sore. I've been eating weird things. I'm sensitive to smells. I pee a lot. I'm moody. And none of it means a damn thing ( Read more... ) -
