Wow! Why was this monster free in a first place? 17 previous SEX CRIMES? He should've gotten the life sentence a long time ago. A veeeeery long time ago. I don't know if he is sick and cannot control himself, like you say, freezetomorrow or he just knows he always gets away with it with some minimal jail time. Or non at all. What? The most he's been in prison for was for like 3 years? And the dude had 17, OMG, 17! previous sex crimes. I am not sure how the sex crimes laws in Korea go, but if the guy was still free after 17! (yes, i said it again, cause it blows my mind) previous sex crimes, then there's something seriously wrong with their sex crimes laws.
Needles to say, i did sign the petition. Twice. With my maiden and my married name. And my hubby signed it, too. I'll let my family know about it later and i'll post on Facebook at some point.
Thanks for drawing our attention to this story, freeze. It's something that deserves as much publicity, as possible.

Several sources have mentioned he has been in jail for multiple sex crimes, 3 of which mention the actual number (17), so its probably true, yes. Sex crimes are notoriously hard to get a conviction on (as its a very abstract crime...a sex crime to one person can be being physically raped, others online ect. and it varies country to country, province to province too), but out of 17! you'd think...well you'd think he'd at least not be allowed around where children go to school, ect.

This is just god awful! How in the world do people get away with things like this? 17 previous convictions? Wow!! O_o That's just...insane!! Thanks so much for putting this out. Crimes like this really need more attention. People like this guy get off WAY too easy! Castration is too easy for this guy. I signed the petition.

But there's something I'm still not getting. Korea is one of those really strict countries, like China, isn't it? Feel free to geographically chastise me if that's not true. But you would think, because this was a KID, they would at least give him a life sentence?

Personally, I think the electric chair would be too good for him. Either way he'll get his ass handed to him in prison - which will hopefully be for the rest of his miserable life.

North Korea is a communist country, like China, but South Korea is very westernised and rich. Its still quite 'strict' though, compared to countries like America. And he should get a life sentence. Imo.
