Humans are pathetic, disgusting, vulgar, arrogant, selfish, annoying, and unappreciative bastards.
What can I do to change this?

Before we come up with an answer, let's make two assumptions. Let's assume, first of all, that you're right: humans are generally vile. Let's also assume, and I think this is true, that there are exceptions to this generality -- humans who have surpassed the limitations of fear, greed, stupidity, vanity, and whatever other defects cause them to behave like shitheads.

This leaves us with a question that we have to answer before we go any further: are these exceptions born, or bred?

I'd have to say bred. People with problems birth children with problems. And there are probably exceptions to that, but still, more than likely, if daddy is a drunk, you have a better chance of being alcoholic and etc.
