I think I agree with everything you have said except for the last part of item #1. I do not think you should ever be intentionally hurtfull. Most times it is just better to walk away then to cruelly mock another person.
Otherwise, there is alot of merit in what you have learned and said.
It's all about practicing what you preach. Sometimes people get so tired of apologising that they give up when they get no response back. Sometimes one has to realize that we are all able to be hurtful, even when we don't mean to be, or realize that we have been. We get so wrapped up in our own lives that we don't see the damage we do to others. Sometimes the person you're angry with is waiting at the phone, just waiting for you to vent and tell them everything they did wrong. Simply because they don't know. Or understand why. Concern over fixing a problem and letting it wait can cause more problems then it originally started with. It's all about finding that delicate balance of waiting until anger subsides and making someone feel like they've been forgotten. Sometimes someone's "moving on" is another person's left in the dark.
