I feel like I will be pregnant forever. It's a conspiracy. The stork *really does* bring babies. This pregnancy crap is some sort of chronic disease men carry and give to women - but don't suffer from themselves. It's all just a ruse to get women fat, tired and distracted so that men can rule the world.

*sigh*

We now own more baby stuff than I ever thought possible - or necessary. But what a great excuse to have a party (the shower), go on a treasure hunt (buy stuff dictated by the midwives), buy luxury items (top 'o the line stroller and car seat), and generally shop without guilt ( Read more... )

The baby shower was today. More people attended that I dreamed would care to. And I feel totally incapable of expressing the gratitude I'm feeling. I feel totally humbled that so many took time and hard earned money from their busy lives just to help me prepare for my child's arrival.

about a week ago the baby belly changed it's tension dramatically. it's hard to explain, but essentially - what was once a 35 lb. very firm pillow strapped to my tummy now feels like a 35 lb. cantalope strapped to my belly. i can't bend over *at all* from a sitting position, bending at the waist and sitting down have become olympic events, and ( Read more... )

Went to my ultrasound last week. Not for any real tests - just cuz the boi wanted pictures. All is more than perfect and the pictures turned out well.
