Thomas Shelby (Peaky Blinders)

Heh probably a sitcom, I can just sit there all afternoon and evening and race through those episodes nonstop, although I’ve never kept exact count of how long that’s taken me. I guess maybe 8-10 hours, something like that?

Oh, very cool. I am not really a sitcom fan at all, so I usually don't really watch them, but I can imagine that it's light fun :D

18. I guess if I had to choose a show to guest star on, it would probably be something like Gilmore Girls so that I could have a nice and cosy time of it. All of the townspeople were so warm and welcoming when Lorelai first turned up there, so that would seem the place to be *g*

30. I used to be unsure about that, but I did watch Re:Mind on Netflix last year and that was all in Japanese. Unfortunately the show itself wasn’t particularly good in the end, but it wasn’t as distracting as I thought it would be following along with English subtitles, so yes I would definitely do that again as Netflix seem to bringing out more and more international shows. Elite is in my to-watch list for once, and that’s set in Spain

19 is answered a few comments above :)

36. I am starting to prefer shorter seasons, and it feels like the format that more and more television will adopt as we move more to streaming and getting new shows released all the time, as oppposed to needing the same shows to last last year-round. It’s strange how quickly you can get out of the habit of something really, because like most people I’ve certainly been used to watching shows of 22 episodes or more in the past, but they almost feel like a relic from another time now when it comes to binge-watching them. I’m sad to say I’ve had that problem with Supernatural a little bit when trying to catch up with a season in one go, for me the filler episodes really hurt the overall arc when you’re watching a season in its entirety. Of course that’s not to say that one-off episode plots don’t have their appeal, when it’s something special that they're putting together then yes by all means, but all all too often you’re impatiently sitting through these crappy filler instalments that are clearly just there to make up numbers ( ... )

I enjoy both, but yes I agree with you not all filler episodes are worth it. I do notice as I am watching Hawaii five o now, with long seasons that I skip both epsiodes and scenes within episodes I do watch. And I prefer not waiting a week between episodes and that does work better with short seasons, and as you say the story can be much more well written and handled when the focus can be put solely on that story.

I don't have any new shows on my radar either at the moment, but I am often bad at keeping up with what is coming. As with you I look forward to the return of shows: Victoria and Call the midwife are two such shows.

22. I really miss opening credits actually, there are so many iconic ones that instantly bring to mind a particular show that you loved, and a title card isn’t the same really. Saying that, I do like the option on Netflix to skip the opening credits as it’s not necessarily something that you want to sit through every time when you’re binge-watching a series, but imo it’s still nice to have proper opening credits to associate with a show. It sounds kind of silly, but I also used to like the old style of each actor appearing in the credits in order of importance and seeing all the clips associated with them, it’s just not the same when there’s only a list of written credits running over the screen instead ( ... )
