Well the general idea (and this is according to Mr. Johns, who is kind of on my shit list) is that either the inflammation in my appendix caused the inflammation and subsequent scarring in my bowel, or the inflammation in my bowel caused the inflammation of my appendix.

I am really optimistic that it was chronic appendicitis, mythical a disease as it may be, because there weren't any granulomas found on my appendix, and my appendix was lying directly on the section of bowel that was all scarred over. As terrible as all this may be, I just want to be able to chew again! I've been on a liquid diet for over a week. I think I would be most happy if the doctors told me that the inflammation was oozing and needed bread in order to sop up the pus. I could really go for a whole loaf of challah right now.

I will try to post more with the sordid details of my life/relationships! I have a lot of time on my hands now because I have absolutely nothing to do. I should be in Washington, so I don't have a job, school, or anything!

With all this going on, you have complete absolution from the Universe to whine, rail and feel like crap for a while. Your essential personality shines through in the posts I have read from you over the past couple of years and I know that your true nature will reassert itself once this crisis is past. But keep that word in mind - you are in a crisis situation right now and the normal rules just don't apply. Lighten up on yourself a little, OK?

Thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right: I should give myself a little more license to feel bad, lay in bed, et cetera. Ugh. It just so happens that feeling like crap and lying in bed is my absolute least favorite thing to do.
