Someone shouldn’t fight his best friend, not for something like that. But Dino Cavallone was always ready to fight, and he was ready to kill.
His sword whispered in the air, breaking a door. He wanted to break his little yellow head, but it was like his weapon couldn’t hit him. Once again, he tried to stop his enemy from moving, but once again, he was too fast. Or maybe he knew too well how to escape his deadly attacks. Or was it him who was to be blamed? He couldn’t seriously think that he was giving everything to win against Dino. No… He was far too sad to even hurt him.
- I’m going to marry, Squalo.
What the fuck? Why did he tell him that at the first place? He didn’t even care about Dino’s love life, and now that he was marrying? He cared about it as much as his first tooth. The woman had probably some mental deficits, or she was surely very bad-looking, to accept this contract. Cavallone’s family was a big one, and a nice deal. Yeah, it was all about politic. There was no way it could be about love. No, Dino was not able to love anyone, he liked everyone yes, but love? It was something unknown for him.
So why was he trying to kill him now? He could have just laughed at him and left, but his sword had started to tingle, and an irresistible will of hitting Dino appeared. It was probably because of the look on his face, his stupid smile like if he was the happiest man in the world. What the hell, he was going to marry a stupid and ugly woman, it was not like he had killed the master of the world! His family pride was ridiculously hideous if a marriage was the kind of achievement you should be proud of. Having kids? That was for the weak!!! And you actually didn’t really have to “make” kids with a dirty woman, you could always adopt if you really wanted to have an heir… No, that was just plain stupid. When Dino would be married, he’d have to go home early because Madam would want to have dinner with her ridiculous lovely husband. When he’d be married, no more fights, no more wars for him, because Madam wouldn’t want to see her husband hurt or killed!
If Dino really wanted this kind of life, he was not worth living in the world as him. That’s why he first picked his sword, to end his former friend and enemy’s life. How could he even think of him as a friend, someone worth fighting? Squalo, as the one who knew Dino for the longest time, had to make this stupid horse understand that he couldn’t want this life. If that meant kicking his ass, no problem! He couldn’t seriously lose against a woman… What the fuck did he just think? Was he possibly… jealous? Was he feeling… betrayed? No way! Suddenly, the thought of himself wearing a white and long dress with flowers in his hair came to him. NO WAY! He was not jealous of a woman!! He lifted his sword to throw Dino’s stupid smile away, when this one, grinning, said:
- You know, that was just a joke. I’m not marrying anyone.
Squalo hated this guy.
