Well, I definitely agree with you about THAT scene -- honestly, until I saw it, I was willing to believe that the whole Margulis/Punjabi feud was just gossip, but after that scene, I do believe that at least one of them hates the other one.
I'm not as negative as you about the season as a whole. It was a transitional season, no doubt, and not a lot happened, but I did enjoy seeing St Alicia taken down several pegs. While I like the character, she certainly had that coming. And screen time for David Hyde Pierce is always a plus in my book.
Two other things I didn't care for -- I never saw any chemistry between Alicia and Finn, so thank goodness they're going to stop trying to make fetch happen, and Peter as a VP candidate? With all that personal baggage? No effing way!
You're right! Marissa Gold was the bright spot of the season!
But America is interested in Canning. We want to see Michael J Fox power over his affliction and fight. I'll be interested in seeing what happens because of that, and because I get the feeling that the show is going back to the basics in doing pursuing a Canning/Florick partnership. It is the clash of the egos of these lawyers which entertains us the most after all.
Alicia/Carey made sense, even Alicia/Finn did, but a Canning/Florrick partnership does not.
I'm glad for Michael J Fox that he still gets to act, but Canning character is just too irritating and caricatured. I never found that the way they wrote him was good. At least if he partners up with Alicia we get to see something new and not the usual storyline we always got every time he was involved.
