I know this season (and most of last) have been all over the map. I'm still not happy with this season, but happier than I was with most of last season.
My take on that scene is total fear. I don't see Bedelia as being in control any more on any level. She seems, to me, to be a sacrifice or a suicide. She seems as though she is moving towards a terrible fate which is completely seductive to her. AND I don't think they've consummated their relationship and that she is wanting to be completely CONSUMED by him....the idea of a live snail moving through a digestive system...sums up her desire for him, imo.

The female charas have been so poorly handled. What the hell has happened to Alanna?????
That fight scene was a beautiful dark ballet. Those two should make videos together!!

Lawrence Fishburne has been terrific in the last three episodes and he's such a screen presence. If Jack Crawford wasn't already my favourite character, he would be now. Hannibal can't fuck with Morpheus, period. :- P
I guess that I enjoy the Bedelia/Hannibal material because it's refreshing. No matter the changes they make, I am not a big fan of the plots taken from the books/movies like the Pazzi storyline or the Mason Verger plot. I fear the second half of this season, when they tackle the Red Dragon stuff.
