So this week, I took a seminar at Brockton High for teachers on "Integrating Differentiated Instruction & Backwards Design" That sounds rather verbose, but basically it was on developing new strategies for the classroom, based on teaching to every student. Like, you have have to differentiate your teaching depending on your class, and your students

That sounds like a real refreshing seminar.

I agree that you may not implement every idea you learn at a seminar or conference but if you take one thing and use it to change your teaching for the better, then it's all worth it.

I felt this same feeling after attending the New Hampshire Music Educators' All-State Conference. Great clinics. I tried to take at least one idea from each clinic I went to and apply it to the appropriate class (guitar, jazz lab or concert band).

We gotta get you back into a MUSIC classroom.
