I agree that you may not implement every idea you learn at a seminar or conference but if you take one thing and use it to change your teaching for the better, then it's all worth it.
I felt this same feeling after attending the New Hampshire Music Educators' All-State Conference. Great clinics. I tried to take at least one idea from each clinic I went to and apply it to the appropriate class (guitar, jazz lab or concert band).
We gotta get you back into a MUSIC classroom.
