If you are hanging out with friends, and they are drunk... the fun dies down and one invites you back to their house cause they still want company, You have stayed at their house before, so you go over, and they start touching you trying to get you to have sex with them, you say "no""Stop""Leave me alone!""Get off of me""Please stop"etc... they ( Read more... )

it is still rape.
no matter the cercumstances, no matter the way it was done, nor the feelings of either afterwerds. when one says no and doesn't want it to happen... it is rape.

whether or not you should call the police, or get any cops involved is a choice only for you to make. you are the only one who can understand what happened, and the emotional/mental states that were involved.

what I do know, there has to be a discution between the two. what happened. how it happened. why it happened. and what to do now. sit down at the table, have a hot (nonalcoholic) beverage in hand. it'll help, really. and just talk. it's up to you to decide what's best in regards to the police. but there needs to be complete comunication between the both of you about the events. then make your choice.

it was rape.
no matter how you look at it.

I agree completely with the person that commented first. It is rape. If no is said, and they still do it, it is rape.

Also it is all up to the person. If they forgive the person for raping them, then you don't need the cops. You have to sit and think, do you really want to go through all that pain and through court. And have to tell the story again and again. And they'll try to make sure you really did say no, and not that you regretted sleeping with them so you decided to cry rape.

If you feel like you can remain friends, or you can forgive them. Then don't. especially after so much time has passed. Because they'd have to do a rape kit to gather evidence to prove it was who you accused.

If you still don't know what to do, there are hotlines, and people who are there to talk to you, and help you get through it.

It is rape. Just because its someone you know doesnt mean they cannot rape you. It just means that its gonna be harder to deal with. Its precarious really. If you feel that you wanna take that person to court then call the cops, otherwise I would suggest distancing themselves from your life. If they lost control that time they will do it again at some point, its a power trip that has to be overcome.
