Eid Mubarak

So many sorrows and violence over the weekend. and yet, we sent a spaceship the size of a tennis court to Jupiter. So, there is that. -
Feeling acomplished
It's been three weeks since my last day at work. In that time I have:
-Applied for jobs, cuz I need one. Had one interview for a job I don't think I'll get. Very specific questions about the components of Agile, requests for examples of documentation showing I've PMed, which hmmm… the types of docs they were asking for would be proprietary. ( Read more... ) -

I'm feeling nostalgic. I got into a brief discussion on someone else's LJ about Super Heroes. Supergirl. Buffy. Whether the twain should be considered together in this modern flood of super heroes.

Since 2003, I’ve been writing fiction for an Eid fic challenge on A03. Well, you’ll see the last few entries were mine. Eid al-Fitr is the celebration at the end of Ramadan. The challenge focuses on positive representations of Muslim characters.

A Tale of Two Titanic Crossovers, One Boat sinking
I went to see Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice on Monday.
I liked it. It was a mess of a movie.
It had multiple strong female characters. They didn't speak to each other.

Less poetically, I'll say I just got back from a JOCO cruise (a convention within a cruise) and had a great time.
