Poll Friends only?
As I said in this entry some days ago, I've been thinking about making my journal friends-only, or rather, mainly friends-only, using the journal for announcing site updates in public posts... please comment on the subject as well :)

Oh... (aka update) when/if you vote... please add a comment and explain why you voted as you did... thanks in ( Read more... )

I'm not voting. Why? Because it's completely up to you.

I haven't voted and I don't intend to.

I think YOU should be the sole judge of what you want to make public. My experience with friends only journals is that people who are happy with the friends they have on their list already can do that with no problems. But you're unlikely to get new friends if all you do is post "empty" public updates.

Those were my 2 cents worth...

*lol* If only you could see the amount I've made friends-only both 'fore and after this post! :P
This post is gonna stay public, and I'm gonna make an 'official' post stating that it's gone friends-only, once I've made all of it ('cept a few posts) friends-only, so, yeah... there'll always be a way to give me comments... :P

But yes, I am... you're doing German, right? :)

Yeah, I am doing the German translation. I was wondering about one thing in the FAQs.. more and more stuff seems to be turning Danish, even though I'm in the German mode?

Example: Venner & Sikkerheds Niveau
or: Bruger Billeder

So I'm wondering if it's a bug or if you accidentally changed the English?

Hm... I just checked /translate:

English (LJ): Friends & Security Levels
Danish: Venner & Sikkerheds Niveau

English (LJ): User Pictures
Danish: Bruger Billeder

So it seems like... a bug! Whee... will you report to Brad, or will I? :)

imho, journals are semi-private and shared w/ close friends. that way you can air out your feelings without random comments from people who have absolutely no idea who you are and what you're about. but then, i'm a private person..... *hands you some salt*
