I know its just a trivial poll, but it does touch a rather raw nerve. Those of us who suffer from this horrible infliction know just how genuine it is.

In fairness, 79% of people say "yes", which puts ME way ahead of global warming in terms of people's ignorance about it. ;o)

Heh. I wrote and complained to them in quite stiff terms (I think I asked something like: "What possessed you to post a poll encouraging a view of ME as an imaginary condition, when so many people suffer such dreadful debilitation as a consequence of it?").

Today I got this response, which I think is actually rather nice:
