In the alternative to (Neo) Heathenism that I propose Norse mythology plays a different role than it plays in (Neo) Heathenism. As a result a living mythology of the goddesses and gods becomes possible again.

Your point on written mythology being a starting point is dead on, in my opinion. It's exactly what I think about mythology in general with regards to the numerous gods and goddesses.

I really agree with all that you have said - there needs to be more than just the lore. Assuming that the Gods and Goddesses have remained unchanged from what Christians told of them hundreds or even thousands of years ago is a dis-service to them. I agree, it is a great starting point, but it does not account for the present day or anything in between.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, "Teh Lore" folks bore me in quick time. It's good to know that others like those that ignited_ spark mentioned are moving forward and making their experiences available to the public. I want to encourage everyone to share their personal experiences. It's from sharing personal experiences that we learn what our goddesses and gods are up to in our own time. I think it is going to require a lot of tolerance for diversity and understanding that our goddesses and gods do reveal different sides of themselves to different people. BTW, I had a thought about Wuldor related to your post the other day. I'll add it as a comment to your post.
