gotta say, i'm super excited for you, Chris. surgery is always scary, but things like this are so routine, at this point (not the specific one you're doing, but, y'nkow...). My grandma had two open heart surgeries done throughout her life. The first one was nearly 30 years ago, now, and she was already an old lady by then (late 60s). Technology is so many leaps and bounds advanced since then... She used to show me her scar, if i asked. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, that they could open you up like the tin man, fix your cogs and wheels and put you back together again, good as new. She smoked and ate like Paula Dean, she was a grey haired granny and there was no such thing as 3-d printing back then :) If she can heal twice, at twice your age and with half the care you take of yourself... well I have no doubt about your success in this endeavour as well :) You're gonna do great. it might suck for a little bit, but hey, what great change in life doesn't?
