why is it that every time i turn the olympics on, the only sports i get to see are curling and ice dancing? where's the snowboarding, the big jumps, the louge, the slalom, even the cool ice skating where at least they do jumps? hmph.

#1: i like ice skating & curling!

#2: what is this ice skating w/ jumps that you speak of???

#3: i've tried to watch the skiing & snowboarding, but i think all those single-person sports are boring. i missed that snowboard cross-country event, that looked cool.

#4: SPEED SKATING IS WHERE IT'S AT!!!

i saw like 3 seconds of snowboarding where people were falling, which was cool. i like the big huge jumps and the skiing things - i think they're cool. curling is boring for me. its rocks and brooms and seems more on par with air hockey and billiards and shuffleboard than an olympic sport. i dunno... maybe its just me.

no no, all i've been able to catch is ice DANCING. much more boring than ice skating - like ice skating without all the spins and triple axels and sow cows or however you spell it. when i say ice skaing with jumps i just mean normal ice skating, all michelle kwan nancy kerrigan brian boitano style.

i'll admit that curling is boring, but i just find it (& the rules) interesting. i still don't really understand why it's an olympic sport either--might as well make bowling an olympic sport too. i mean, it definitely takes skill but not much athleticism. but the women's team from USA had the cutest track jackets for curling!

yes, ice dancing isn't as interesting as figure skating...i just think speed skating looks so cool. it looks like so much fun! it takes so much leg muscle. i wish i had their quads b/c i need them for fencing.....speaking of, i have felt soooo out of shape lately. so out of breath at practice.

I watched a little speed skating, bobsled, and figure skating (complete with jumps) last night...

Maybe you need to watch it during the day more.

really? can i ask why? i thought it was silly. its all we've been able to catch (besides the aforementioned ice dancing) for the past 2 days... i had to look it up to figure out what the hell was going on.

I don't know. I just like it because it's so weird and it's only on tv every 4 years :p

that's funny. i guess i understand though. i love watching crap like the stongman competition and the highland games, b/c i find them hilarious and weird to watch - like how fast the guy can saw a log in half or how long it takes them to drag this huge fat chain link thing for x yards... funny.

i just can't get into american idol. jeopardy is on at night? i thought that was an afternoon show...

well i didn't really pay attention to women's speed skating last night, but of course my mom & i had to catch apolo--we love apolo. he was just in a qualifying race, but came in 1st (from 3rd place). thrilling!

sometime si like american idol and sometimes i don't. i didn't watch last season at all, and i never watched the first season. but i watched the second season all the way through, and bits and pieces of the 3rd season, too... this one's not bad. i guess i only like it when there are people i like on there that i can root for. if they get kicked off i'll probably lose interest.

jeopardy comes on at 7:30 here, which is perfect. i love jeopardy. and nick likes watching it too - though he gets very loud and self-congratulatory when he gets an answer i don't. lol.

i think i remember apolo. i'm glad you've been able to catch the speed skating.
