Thanks! I hope to. They pronounced me untreatable this morning, but not because of my irascibility. Just because they saw no signs of bacterial infection.
I answered you via text, but for anyone else reading this: the fever hasn't stayed that high all the time. (It's only dangerous if it doesn't break.) But freyley's continuing to be pretty sick, so there will be a trip to urgent care Friday, if there isn't dramatic improvement.
We have health insurance, but neither of us has found a primary care practitioner, and urgent care is faster than trying to find a new doctor.
maybe this is already obvious, but: ibuprofen!!! i was super sick last winter with a fever around 103, and it affected my cognition enough that i didn't think to try OTC meds for a couple days...but then when i finally did, the fever dropped 2 degrees in 2hrs and i felt human again.
Thanks. The 102.7 (and yesterday's 104.4) were both in the interludes between drugs, to see whether I had made any progress. Unfortunately, the _massive_ shivering that happens in that interlude to get me up to that temperature is really, really unpleasant.
