I figured that I've had three very hard obstacles to pass for my fury in Insanity of Mary Girard.
1. I was left with the description that my fury is "active/passive" and "mostly in a catatonic state." I had to figure out how the hell to express it, but I think I'm having success.
2. So I could express the personality; it being that of a schitzo. However, there was a HUGE timing difficulty on when to switch from active to passive (and back again), but I think I'm having success.
3. I got the timing down, but then the blocking was added. It was not only hard to get the blocking down with the lines, but it was hard to be in a catatonic state with my mind wandering everywhere and be so down-to-earth with what was happening on stage at the same time. With time, I will be 100% successful.
I'm really proud of my progress on this part, but I'm not finished yet. It seems like a big dance number instead of a play in terms of blocking. It's pretty cool, and I think this show will be very hard to compete against.
I can feel it already. I will miss this play so much.
Isn't it a good feeling when you know you can fail all of your exams and still get a B overall? Nonetheless, I'll study.
