I never thought of the 'armored cockpit' idea... that makes so much sense..

Something like that would make it nigh impossible to skyjack a plane...

I have to agree about how easy this must have been. The only ID you need to fly is a driver's license, and if underage kids are getting them, I can't imagine it is too difficult to aquire one. I think that people just don't want to admit how easily so many lives can be taken.
I heard today that when flights resume, there will be absolutely no carry-ons at all, not even purses.

I found this entry with Google Blog search.. just looking through 9/11 blog entries. Very interesting what people have said about 9/11. I probably would have said the exact same thing you did. Meh.
