A week in Ontario

We were on vacation for a week in Ontario. No particular plans, brought the bikes and hiking shoes. Spent the first three days in Welland and biked the Niagara River trail. ZOMG!
You were sooooooooooooo close! we're in St. Catharines.

Prices are expensive - BUT we've got social medicine.
When we were in the states we calculated that it all averaged out ... more taxes sort of added up to roughly what our Medical insurance premiums were.

Wrong part of London - it switches suddenly from charming to Ick

hamilton is fairly rough in parts but it's way cheaper than Toronto. The GO train is the easy/cheap way to get into Toronto and explore.

I realized we were close to you and even toyed with the idea of popping in to your office on campus to say "Hi!" However, it seemed kind of ill-mannered to simply surprise you, and we didn't actually know where we were going until about a week before we left. If we had known we needed a native guide, the equation would have tipped in favor of distracting you and your hubby. Ah well!

St. Catherines looks like a great place to live! We could have bicycled to your house from Fort George.
