Exactly! And the reason I posted this, upon reflection, is that I feel really bad for the people who need heating assistance and aren't going to get it next year. Our moronic new Wisconsin governor's introduced a bill to basically ban any public employee unions for some workers, and take almost all power away from the ones which remain. Sadly, we've got Republican majorities in both legislative houses who may back him on this.

His behavior, sending out an e-mail that says he respects public employees but wants to take away almost all of our rights to union representation, reminds me of an abusive spouse who says, "I love you, baby, but you have to learn your place/stop making me hurt you."

Scary and sick. I have a friend who is an employee of the UW system... several, actually, who is taking a pay cut after years of no pay raise. I can't believe how Walker is dismantling one of the finest institutions of higher education in the country.
