Congrats Dacula High Football

Nov 20, 2005 07:31

Wow...Dacula beats #1 Camden County? Wow. Now it's on to the Ga. Dome to play the state football semi final game against the dreaded Brookwood. Congrats Dacula Football. And I hope everyone will make it down to the Ga. Dome next Saturday night after Christmas shopping for the previous two days to urge on Dacula to beat Brookwood!

I hear ya' 'bout the shopping chaos...but, man-o-man the sales are incredible. Last year Terri and I went to Brandsmart, Fry's and Best Buy to take advantage of their great deals on portable DVD players, microwave ovens, Gameboys, etc. I calculated by going to those stores at the crack of dawn, we experienced a 50% to 60% discount. Heck, we had to stand in the checkout line for over 2 hours at Brandsmart. But, Fry's was extremely organized and ready for the shopping melee. They had something like 60 cash registers open with a "traffic cop" type of person policing the lines. We were in and out of there in less than 15 minutes.

I take it you'll be home for Tbanksgiving. Who's cooking the bird? You, your mom or your dad? We're going to a restaurant up in the Burbank Hills. It has a beautiful view overlooking the San Fernando Valley. Can't wait.

Take care and hope to hear again from you soon.

Much love,

Dan/Dad

We're going to my sister-in-law's parents for Thanksgiving and then we'll so a little bit of turkey and the like at home on Friday. I'm making a pumpkin swirl cheesecake for dessert for thursday. I was invited to go to Mississippi for Thanksgiving by Alan's dad but I wanted to see my family for Thanksgiving.

Whassup, Kell?

How's the wedding arrangements comin' along? Are you still going to Japan for that Marine spouse indoctrination thing you described to me?

Things are going well here in LA. The weather's beautiful, the job search is comin' along and Paden's acclimating well to his new high school. He's in the school choir and playing 9th grade baseball.

We think we may have found a church to serve. Their youth group is large, strong and vibrant. It's a non demoninational-evangelical church. They don't have any Independent Christian churches out here. There's plenty of Church of Christ and Disciples of Christ churches. We attend 2 of the Church of Christ churches, but they didn't seem to be a good fit for us. Anyhow, hopefully this evangelical church we've attended for the past 3 weeks works out.

That's about it for now.

Take care and much love,

Mr. Dan

Miss you more than anything! xevidencex November 29 2005, 03:20:56 UTC
Hey, Mr.Dan && Lapwings!
Sounds like God's done an awesome job with the move! I'm so happy to hear all the good stuff that's going on! And I'm extra-specially glad you think you found a church! Is evangelical different than Central?
Well, I'm reading the book "Silas Marner" in my language arts class. I wonder if Mrs.Terri has read it before. It's really good if she hasn't.
So everyone misses you guys, and RJ says hey- he was just in Cali for Thanksgiving!
I'm going to Northview this coming Sunday to visit all my old friends and old church members that I miss like crazy!
I think I might send pics for y'all soon! I have to accumulate a big amount so the bad ones won't look so dumb!
Well, leave a comment back! I love you all more than chocolate and horses and shopping and books!
<3, Your Emmy
