[Video the first: Freddy's lounging around the library, sprawled in a chair with a fairly sizable stack of comics piled on a table nearby.  The feed affords a pretty good image of this given the communicator's position on the table, although about half of him is cut off by the stack whose title can't be read because it's obscured by a copy of WorldRead more... )

Of course you are. This is the Barge. When something happens here it usually has either the potential to be rather humiliating or incredibly dangerous. Sometimes both. And the last time the ship started changing like this we had an invasion of Aztec... Gods and people had their hearts cut out. I'd rather worry and pay attention to what's happening than end up death tolling. Or having to visit my friends when death tolling.

Oh, I'm not sayin' I ain't gonna pay attention, it's fuckin' stupid not to considering the shit I've seen here so far. I'm just saying. There's no need to be freakin' out about it like it's the end of the world, even if it could be.

If they... "freak out", maybe the wardens can be bothered to actually look into this. Better they do and are prepared than they don't and have no idea how to fight this when the time comes.

Do you have sentient undead on your world?

Nope, not unless you count those chicks prancing down the runway. [A JOKE. See?]

...Are you being serious with that?

...Nope, not in the least. It's just funny 'cause they're all skin an' bones, so. They might as well be.

[...If you have to EXPLAIN your joke, it's not a joke, Freddy.]

[Momentary puzzlement, then he picks up the comic book and holds it up to the camera so Blonsky can see it better.]

Spawn; it's about this CIA agent who was murdered overseas by these really bad guys an' came back from the dead to get back at 'em.

With all the moanin' an' creepy vibes I figured it was seasonal.

[A thoughtful pause, and a disappointed face.]

Oh, so...that thing we talked about? Looks like it ain't gonna happen anytime soon, sorry man. I tried.

Well it was either that or "Tales from the Crypt".

[Why yes, he DOES have the originals. And he'd be more than happy to share if asked, not that Blonsky would.]

[Private]

Well that's what I mean; kinda hard to get a sample if the guy ain't anymore.

But I mean...it was just a demonstration anyway, right? It ain't a big thing if you can't.

The Admiral tends to get into the spirit of things, so yes, I believe this is all some sort of Halloween thing gone terribly a muck.

You'd do well to be careful, Freddie.

Yeah, planning on it. I mean, it might be nothin', but you never know, right?

...Were there really zombies before?

Yes, we've landed in a port with zombies. We've also landed in a haunted house port. There's been demons aboard. From Hellraiser, you see.

Probably both.
