That idea used to drive me nuts as a kid. Cuz like, even if you traded brains with a person, you wouldn't be able to tell if the colours were different anyway. Cue the child brain-melt.

2)It's not all just semantics, it's an important point to ponder as a fundamental difference in the way we perceive the world. I once thought I had a good grasp on the concept - it almost doesn't matter because we have the same fundamental experience with light spectra and just naming them differently, but then I've lived this year with someone who is colour blind. Is it actually a difference in the way he perceives colour, or is it an equivalent to the fact that .. mumbly mumbly.. it's great to think about these things for a while, mostly to realize the last two lines of your post!
