Two questions:

1. You still work in Japan, right?

2. Is your company hiring?

I am going to try very hard to get a job in Japan.

Still work in Japan, yes. Actually having dinner w/ the boss tonight because I'm thinking of quitting :P Odds of a female landing my job are probably somewhere in the range of Not-in-a-million-years and When-Japan-uses-English-properly (e.g.- not going to happen (my position, that is).

I will mention you to him, tho' when it comes up :) I'm thinking of quitting and doing the English teaching bit since an opportunity just came up. My current job sucks in that it's dangerous, only get Sunday off and I tend to get angry quite a bit over disregarded safety issues, misunderstandings, co-workers assuming that I understand everything that they're saying at a million-miles-per-hour, etc. A less stressful job would be nice. Don't necessarily want to do the English-teaching route.

Jobs in Japan are fairly easy to get, I think. But not being in Japan makes it a bit harder.

Check out Big Daikon, Jobs in Japan and anyplace else that Google might serve up (there's more, but I can't remember any off the top of my head ( ... )

I would LOVE to teach English in Japan, and I'm not really too picky other than that.. just the job needs to cover not only my living expenses, but also my student loans, which are around $100 a month.

As for the area.. not Tokyo. I'd rather be in a more rural area, which I'm told is very possible (and more in demand) with my proficiency in Japanese. A Kyoto suburb would be.. fantastic. Anywhere that's pretty. That's really important to me. I also won't have a car, so.. yeah.

The employer needs to sponsor me to work in the country, and that's really important too.

Any help you can be.. I couldn't thank you enough.
