Find the nearest book to you. Turn to p. 45. Read the first sentence. This describes your sex life in 2013.

"Walk into any British own or city today and there will be more uniformed private-security guards, rangers, wardens & 'ambassadors' than ever before..."

O RLY?? *perks up*

technically not the first sentence (started with a semicolon), but too good to pass up: "a few seconds of mental work (the problem is moderately difficult), with slightly tensed muscles and dilated pupils, could avoid an embarressing mistake."

"In this case the resonator is made to sound in sympathy with one of the harmonic upper partial tones of the compound musical tone which is vibrating in the external air."

Um, maybe let's try the cloesest fiction instead:

"Day six: I am set upon from behind, bound, and searched, protesting indignantly."

"These phases will be analysed in the following sections."
Mm... slightly concerning, this.

The closest fiction: "There's a sort of lingua franca you hear a lot, pieces of a dozen different languages thrown together, like, 'Ecoutez, gospodin, tu es verruckt.'"
...I think I may prefer the non-fiction...
