That look you have in the first panel, when you realize the recipe isn't working? I know that look. I am FRIENDS with that look. But I love to cook dearly and I'm happy to see other people staring down something that was supposed to be tasty and wondering why it has deserted them. (All the cooks in my family are weirdly perfect. Like, everything is always wonderful but you never see them cook, and you can't go in their kitchen. And yet people still have to live up to that)
Every once in a while my stepmother (otherwise a spectacular cook, her sole virtue for most of my childhood experience of her) ... when preparing that lovely rib-sticking oatmeal with butter and milk and just a tablespoon of sugar...
she will accidentally grab the salt box instead.
She did this ONCE when I was a kid. She did it, apparently, when her grandkids were staying with her, about 10 years back.
Salt in oatmeal is not necessarily bad, but salt in the same quantities as sugar would have been?
cartoon you is so cute and your cartoon hair is so fluffy! i approve. :D also i'm not surprised fox liked squidbillies. it does seem like his kind of thing. and i love that collin is irked by the way you drew his hair. heh.

Yeah, keep trying. That's what's important. Supposedly. :)
