Before you toss that soda can into the recycle bin, you might want to pull off the tab. It's just a little scrap of metal, but it makes such a difference. For patients at several Shriners Hospitals for Children, it makes a BIG difference ( Read more... )

Zoe is one of those patients. Right now, and hopefully for the rest of her life, she does not need services anymore. But it is good to know that you guys are there if she ever does need you. ;)

It is wonderful to hear that Zoe does not need those services anymore.

I am still early in my involvement with the Shriners, but from what I can tell, these men and their wives do whatever they can for the children. This year, our motto is "Taking Care of Kids". That's what they're all about.

Please let me know of anyone that you know that might be interested in collecting the tabs. Our club really wants to do as much as we can. (Just to clarify, I am the president of the local Shrinette club, which is the WIVES of the Shriners. And I want our ladies to do more this year than they have in the past years. That's why I've led them to do this collection.) MY motto for this campaign is One Tab = A Difference!

My step-dad's step-dad is a Shiner and they ae always doing great things!!!

i do wonder though, can ppl save the whole can? since it's made out of the same aluminum..

ON another subject, I think you participated with me in the flip flop exchange last year and I am now doing a sock exchange (my BOSS gave me this one!) and I am looking for "volunteers"....any chance you would join me in exchanging sox?
