So this might sound incredibly stupid, but did Amy and Jerry screw or what? He tells Charley that Amy's scent is "all gone now", which could mean from her being vampified, though the sexual implications are definitely there. Amy & Charley's exchange (something like a pensive "Are you okay?" "...Yeah, I'm okay") after Jerry bites the dust suggests

Plus, I mean, between the club and the basement, she loses her pants.

I came here to say exactly this. LOL
She also looked kind of tousled. Ya know? And there was a lot of time between the club and the basement, and Jerry doesn't strike me as best conversationalist.

Oh but I remembered something else... Somewhere, either the deleted scenes on the disc or those behind the scenes on youtube... Jerry murmurs like, Latin or something in the club to Amy. Not necessarily a sexy thing, but an Amy is different/special for him, thing?

Yeah, this post got me thinking about Fright Night again, so I've been watching snippets of the movie (love my DVR)and re-reading some fic.

I was just thinking last night when I was watching the scene in Peter's penthouse, that Amy must mean something special to Jerry - separate from his business with Charley. The easiest thing for Jerry to have done in that scene was go after Charley. But he doesn't. He leaves Charley to Ed, who's kind of hampered due to the arm lossage, and approaches Amy instead. "I'm so glad you're here." He doesn't say to her the usual threatening things he said to Charley and Ed when he had them cornered. It's almost like he's trying to establish something with her, a separate something from the business of killing her boyfriend.

Yes. I rewatched this bit last night. And it's definiely...interesting. He does seem to develop a special interest in her sometime between the car chase and the Penthouse. And he certainly seems veeeery into her post-vamping. How much of that is to taunt Charley, and how much of that is his own desire for her... who knows?

Not to mention he pushed Amy away from on-fire-Charley rather than in front of himself as a shield. We can assume Jerry's a survivor and that he doesn't mind sacrificing a minion (he sacrificed Doris for shits and giggles without a blink), so for him to push Amy away...? I'm not saying he was in love but I think it's safe to assume Amy wasn't just a minion and a tool to use. :)
