Amy & Jerry in the film

So this might sound incredibly stupid, but did Amy and Jerry screw or what? He tells Charley that Amy's scent is "all gone now", which could mean from her being vampified, though the sexual implications are definitely there. Amy & Charley's exchange (something like a pensive "Are you okay?" "...Yeah, I'm okay") after Jerry bites the dust suggests ( Read more... )

I think it's very strongly implied that they did. Sure, we don't know for certain that vampires in this 'verse have sex, but they make out, and they drink each other's blood at the very least. And the whole "He's inside me now, Charley," thing that vamp!Amy says. Okay, so she MAY just mean his blood/vampy-essence, but come ON.

Plus, I mean, between the club and the basement, she loses her pants.

I came here to say exactly this. LOL

She also looked kind of tousled. Ya know? And there was a lot of time between the club and the basement, and Jerry doesn't strike me as best conversationalist.

I wrote a fic that takes place during that time that Amy is changing, if you're into that sort of thing. Implied smut only, but it certainly posits that vampires can and do get it on in that verse.

Just saw your ETA. Man, I wish that "sucked me dry" line made it to the film! Wowza. This film really needed to make better use of its R rating!

Oh but I remembered something else... Somewhere, either the deleted scenes on the disc or those behind the scenes on youtube... Jerry murmurs like, Latin or something in the club to Amy. Not necessarily a sexy thing, but an Amy is different/special for him, thing?

I'm stalking you!

Yeah, this post got me thinking about Fright Night again, so I've been watching snippets of the movie (love my DVR)and re-reading some fic.

I was just thinking last night when I was watching the scene in Peter's penthouse, that Amy must mean something special to Jerry - separate from his business with Charley. The easiest thing for Jerry to have done in that scene was go after Charley. But he doesn't. He leaves Charley to Ed, who's kind of hampered due to the arm lossage, and approaches Amy instead. "I'm so glad you're here." He doesn't say to her the usual threatening things he said to Charley and Ed when he had them cornered. It's almost like he's trying to establish something with her, a separate something from the business of killing her boyfriend.

Yes. I rewatched this bit last night. And it's definiely...interesting. He does seem to develop a special interest in her sometime between the car chase and the Penthouse. And he certainly seems veeeery into her post-vamping. How much of that is to taunt Charley, and how much of that is his own desire for her... who knows?

I think some of it was about taunting Charley, no doubt. But, like in the basement? He starts off sharing his blood with her as a show for Charley but it seemed as soon as she was on him, he forgot about Charley when he was kissing her, so much so that he didn't hear Charley and Peter talking or see Charley get lit on fire. He didn't react until Charley was almost on him. That seems to be a good indication that having Amy wasn't just about Charley.

Not to mention he pushed Amy away from on-fire-Charley rather than in front of himself as a shield. We can assume Jerry's a survivor and that he doesn't mind sacrificing a minion (he sacrificed Doris for shits and giggles without a blink), so for him to push Amy away...? I'm not saying he was in love but I think it's safe to assume Amy wasn't just a minion and a tool to use. :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Jerry & Amy banged. Notice that when he catches her in the club, she wearing her shirt and jeans, but when she's found in his Lair, the shirt is off, and the jeans are gone.

Yeah, Jerry definetey took her to pound-town. And who wouldn't? Amy (Imogen) is smokin'.

I totally agree with the club scene with Jerry and Amy on 2011's fright night. You do notice in this scene that Amy has on a white blouse with a gray cardigan covering it and black skinny pants. But when Charley and Peter enters Jerry's lair, and finds Amy, she only has her long white blouse on that looks like its torn at the bottom a little. Also you notice Jerry wearing a black button down shirt except....its not buttoned.😉 it definitely makes you think about what actions took place between the time of the club scene and the ending scene between Jerry and Amy. And its pretty obvious that Jerry had her entransed then later seduced her when he brung her back to his lair. I wish they added a seductive dancing scene that Amy and Jerry shared in in the original 1985 version, in the remake. Ive always enjoyed the atmosphere and tone of that scene. And it just adds the overall extra flavor to the movie.
