Awakening

The rhythmic beeping of heart moniters slowly came into focus of Bobby's fragile shells as the drowned feeling of his mind started to clear off. A soft groan emitted from his throat as his body attempted to adapt to being awake for the first time in over a week. Two eyelids flashed open, revealing a pair of brown eyes that were more alert than ( Read more... )

With her longing to be close to him again, Rogue chose to make her way over to Bobby's room. Being right beside his lifeless body only made her want to cry and made her feel as though he was already gone for good. Being in his room would hopefully just evoke memories of the good times they had together before she left and he went into a coma and give her that feeling that she was close to him.

"Ah'm sorry," she cried regretfully having intruded on him. "Ah thought you were still... still in a coma. Ah was just gonna check up on things in here." She paused taking a breath having lost it at the first sight of him. Staring into his deep icy blue eyes she found herself lost in her feelings for him. "Ah missed you so much," she whispered as she pulled Bobby into a sudden embrace. "Ah thought Ah'd never see you again." Rogue began to cry her tears falling onto Bobby's shoulder. She knew Bobby probably thought she was crazy but she didn't care.

He hadn't expected it for one, but mostly the only other woman in his life that bothered to give him anything like a hug was his mother. Somehow it felt...warming, a feeling Bobby had long since forgotten. He found himself pulling Rogue into his own embrace, even if it was done rather shaky as though he'd just taken his first steps in walking. For one thing, he had no idea how to sooth a girl's crying, but he hoped if he could mimic all he'd seen Scott do whenever Jean was upset, he might have something of a chance ( ... )
