Stanford University today is celebrating a 40 year anniversary of the Computer Demo that changed lives, as i insert this hyperlink, invented by Doug Engelbart, and his team of geeks and freaks in 1968.

а еще этот Дуг сконструировал самые высокоскоростные камеры для съемки ядерных взрывов.
А кто подобное в России сконструировал, я не знаю, может украли.

today I've heard interview, where they refer to Doug's "curse of a mouse" - mouse is the least of his inventions, but he seems to go down in history as the "mouse inventor". He refers to this invention as "act out of desperation" and predicts soon mouse will be forgotten due to better interface design

да, наверное люди не оценивают достижения. но вот ведь дали нобелевскую премию за GFP- что по-идее тоже только технология.
