I just watched the 1984 Oilers defeat the New York Islanders 5-2 in the fifth game of the Stanley Cup Final at home. Why? Because the CBC is fucked. That's why. It was Edmonton's first Cup. And, it was Wayne's first. It was one of the greatest moments in hockey. And our nation's public-owned broadcasting company tossed it in as filler late at night
