So long, Potter...

I had the privilege of being a part of Warner Brothers’ very exclusive “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” premiere. It took place at Morro da Urca, one of the most beautiful places in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I got to invite a lot of fans, friends who have shared the Potter experience with me for the last decade. Oh, what did you thing of Snape in the last movie! Do tell! :)

I loved adorable little Snape. Although I found some of the effects used to de-age Rickman a little odd, I really enjoyed the Prince's Tale. And I was moved by how close Harry was to Snape as Snape died. It was more touching than I had imagined in the books.

I really loved it. I think Daniel and Alan nailed the death scene! Loved Snape's reaction to everything, but I thought he despaired too much at times ... I loved it and it bothered me at the same time. Does it make sense? :)

That's the second time I heard someone saying goodbye to Harry. I don't quite get it. It's not really over just because there won't be new movies or books. Harry lives within us.

On a more personal note, I wish I could meet you, last premiere nonwithstanding. Perhaps you don't quite know how special you are to me. Not only professionally. You are the best Potter friend I have never met! :)

Awwwnnnnn .... Lud! When are you coming to Rio? I want to meet you too! That is one of the reasons Harry will always live on ... us :)
