Since reading this node yesterday, I've been thinking about seriously trying a polyphasic sleep pattern. This schedule looks pretty doable, so I'm hoping to give it a go. There are a few problems

I think, to be honest, my sleep schedule is usually polyphastic. It just happens naturally that I fall asleep at, say, 3pm and wake up at 6pm and then have a 2nd day on my hands. To the extreme, there have been times where I've grabbed exactly that perscription: 20 minute naps occassionally throughoutu the day. However, i think it's only sustainable for about (in my experience) a maximum of 2 weeks, after which you start to feel very depressed, oversleep continuously and begin to have motivation issues.
The problem is that the residual effect last longer than the sleep cycle, I find.
