I think you've made a wise choice. In your profession (and especially the small community in which you live) prudence is good.
I love your kitty picture. My kids are not nearly that snuggly unless it gets quite cold.

My girls don't usually snuggle like this that much either, but I'm so glad I caught this precious moment!! They are adorable, and it makes my current icon all the more special. :)

There's always the option of running two in sequence, one friends only, one not. Now that you do not need a key to start an LJ, I know a number of people who have chosen to do that.

You just have to be *very* cognizent of which you're signed onto when you're posting.

That's an interesting idea, but I'll admit it sounds like a lot of work to me...I'm not nearly that organized...:D

Now you can vent without fear of little eyes reading, you can be more your self instead of your professional self. ;)

I love that picture, it reminds me of the ying-yang symbol.

Yes, they're my little Yin-Yang kitties!

And, heh, I've already been posting as "myself" for a long time, and I've been lockign things for nearly a year. It finally occured to me to go back and lock all the early stuff "just in case"...

Hello. Please feel free to use it, and no need to credit me. My husband "found" it elsewhere on liveJournal for me. I have no idea where it originated.

you'll have to post a pic of your babies on whitecats :D
