oh, thank goodness. you've no idea how I was stressing about how this would end. but that, that was perfect. just the right blend of post trauma for everyone. and the return of the healthy banter? perfectly done. thank you for all your hard work.
The emotional turmoil of Neal's captivity and recovery is so wonderfully portrayed. It upped the angst level. Those little things that kept reminding him of imprisonment, like El brushing his hair away.
I swear, I was blinking away tears the whole time. Neal as a ghost is such a contrast to the usual Neal that it just, it hurt a lot. And oh no, Peter! You are seriously evil. But you used Peter's stomach ulcer to fix everybody, so I guess that's okay. Neal realizing he'd forgotten to call Elizabeth just broke my heart.
Loved this anyway, though. It was amazing and perfect and I am so glad that we didn't see any more of Rebecca (though it was kind of necessary that we heard about her). Wow. Talk about a non sequitur. But I loved it! :D
Oh that was wonderful! I could just feel the tension and the quiet coming off of Neal. I felt so bad for him and everyone, really. They wanted to talk to him, but had to tiptoe around him in fear. It was a delicate situation, but I'm glad they're getting through it. Even happier that you had Peter get his sentence commuted. Nice twist of the show.
I'm so glad you enjoyed reading! And especially glad that you liked how I wrote Neal in this chapter. I genuinely feel rather mean :P But I felt he had DEFINITELY earned his freedom after all that. Thank you so much!
