It's
hc_bingo signup time again! *does a happy little dance*
Although, hc_bingo is also the thing I'm totally the most embarrassed about having on LJ for my non-fandom friends to see. Like, "heeeey guys, I like you lots and I want you to think I'm cool, please don't judge me too much for my weird narrative kinks!"
Anyway. Card.
(
My card this year is certainly more challenging! )

.... you and me both. XD Though it's worse when I actually start posting fics for it, especially since the first one I'm thinking about writing is pretty much straight-up self-indulgent h/c schmoop.
Also, you are awake! This is a surprise. :D
ANYWAY. *looks at your card* *thinks*

.... your card is REALLY HARD, though! Lots of magical prompts, or weirdly specific ones. Suddenly I'm feeling much better about mine. XD
Though electrocution is always excellent.
For October Daye, "first transformation" might work for ANY of the shapeshifters! :D Or for Toby, with the shifts in her fae vs human blood ...
"Trapped between realities" also has a certain fairly obvious appeal for the Cait Sidhe, but that one might work nicely for Star Trek too. You could do a Voyager version of the TOS episode Tholian Web, in which a transporter accident strands Kirk between realities and everyone thinks he's dead, but he can still occasionally appear to people as a ghost. It was a lot like the "Crystal Skull" episode of SG1.
"Alien abduction": HALF THE STAR TREK EPISODES IN ANY TREK. XD There is really nothing you can't do with that one in a Star Trek universe.
"Slaves": Star Trek again - forced to labor in the mines of some random mining planet! Stage a slave revolt! :D

I think reading, writing and discussing H/C leaves you open and exposed in ways that other stuff doesn't necessarily (perhaps outside of sexual kinks), so its one of my "oh noes", too.
Perhaps I should get into Welcome to Night Vale...

Yeah, h/c idfic really feels very intensely personal to put out into the internet. Partly because I know that to people who don't get the attraction, the entire thing seems incredibly weird! (At least with sex most people like/understand the desire for it.)
Night Vale is great! I don't really read much fic for it, but I love listening. It's wonderfully surreal.
