Ok I know a lot of you out there like to read.  I'm in need of a book.  I'm looking for one of those amazingly good reads.  I enjoy historical fiction/sci-fi and well just about anything with a good story and quirky characters.  Any suggestions??

So, you played raquet ball without learning the rules?

I just started reading Slaughterhouse V by Kurt Vonnegut. I like some of his other stuff. This one seems like sort of a cross between historical fiction and sci-fi. Next on my list is Alex and Me by Irene Pepperberg. If you haven't read it I've heard it's pretty good.

Not sure what you're looking for in a job, but I just applied for these down near Albany:

I got a response back real quick (might do an interview next week)and the guy is a graduate of PSC, which might give you an advantage.

Slaughterhouse V is a great book! I remember liking it a lot when we read it for English class in high school. I've been meaning to check out Vonnegut's other stuff. Alex and Me, haven't heard of that one. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the job ideas. I am planning on staying in B-town for at least a year. The lease at the apartment is for a year.

If you enjoy historical fiction, have you tried Philippa Gregory? Most of her books are about Tudor England. I just started reading them and I enjoyed it! :)
